DENVER t-shirts!
We need your help!!
This year, we want as many students as possible to participate in the creation of our Denver t-shirts. We are going to do a "wordle" design where a giant "DI" will be on the front of the shirt and filled with words about DI given to us from your teams! Please click on the button below to add your word about what DI means to you. Try to think of unique and fun words to include. Look for your word on the shirt this year!
Please submit by December 31st!

RESOURCES FOR YOU!!!!
Welcome to DI Denver! Here are some fantastic resources for you from the idodi website. Remember- you can ALWAYS access resources and materials at www.idodi.org or through your registration.
DPS Team registration: COMING IN January!
PURCHASE YOUR TEAM MEMBERSHIP HERE!! http://www.shopdi.org.
Memberships will need to be purchased by the team managers.
Once a membership is purchased and you are given a team number, you will have access to all of the challenges digitally. Your team will select what challenge they would like to solve by January.
*** THERE IS NO LONGER AN OPTION TO RECIEVE PRINTED MATERIALS. THERE ARE ONLY DIGITAL MATERIALS AVAILABLE FOR THE 2018-2019 SEASON***
The cost is $150 for a single membership. (That includes the $45 affiliate fee.)
Memberships for non-competitive Early Learning (Rising Stars) teams are $135.00 which will include digital materials.
ALL MEMBERSHIPS should be purchased at http://www.shopdi.org. All of the membership costs described above include DI, Inc. and Colorado Affiliate fees. All memberships are non-refundable.
All teams must be purchased on-line. No memberships will be pre-purchased by the Gifted and Talented office.
Colorado DI is asking EVERY team registered for a tournament to supply one adult (18 or older) who will train to be an Appraiser and appraise at one DI tournament this spring (it doesn't have to be Denver- in fact we encourage you NOT to appraise at Denver). Appraisers can be parents, teachers, friends, business associates, etc. They may appraise at any tournament. Volunteer name and contact information will be requested on the Denver Tournament registration.

BACKGROUND CHECK!!
All team managers must complete a background check. As a part of the Denver tournament, you can do this for free through Denver Public Schools through YOUR home school. If you are managing a team OUTSIDE of a DPS school, please contact your school office manager and let them know you would like to be a volunteer for their school and would like to start the background-check process.
If you are managing a team AT a DPS school, you can fill out the following form and send it and a copy of your ID to DPS Volunteer Services. (Instructions are directly on the form.)
The DPS Background checks are good for 3 years.
Please write "Destination Imagination" as your affiliate organization.

IDEA GENERATORS
Are you stuck? Is your team going in circles? Try some of these games...
BEACH BALL: Get a beach ball or some sort of ball that you can gently toss back and forth. Choose the topic you want to focus on. Perhaps character traits. One person would start and maybe say "Short". They then pass that ball to a random person who would have to say another trait. Perhaps "Happy" or "Pointy nose". You keep going and the longer you go, the more creative they get!
WORD SPIN: Picture the telephone game but with pencil and paper and you WANT the message to expand. Take an idea you want to focus on and expand upon it. Perhaps you are needing to brainstorm characters or set pieces and props. Start with a piece of paper and have someone write one way. Perhaps they write "princess". They pass that paper and the next person writes "Crown". Pass it again and the next writes "Castle". This continues until you have as many ideas as they would like.
